Laurie Woodrow joined Fierce Entertainment in late 2009 as the company's Executive Vice President, International. With over 20 years of experience in international film distribution, Laurie Woodrow is a veteran industry executive specializing in acquisitions and worldwide distribution.

Woodrow was President of Trans-Pacific Media from 1994 to 2009 when that company merged its business with Fierce Entertainment. A respected international acquisitions executive, Woodrow advises international buyers acquiring theatrical films for distribution. During her tenure, Trans-Pacific Media represented more than 40 international distributors exclusively, in territories across Europe, Asia and Latin America, and has been instrumental in the acquisition of hundreds of films, from major theatrical titles to award winning festival films.

As a leading advisor in international film distribution, Woodrow attends the major film markets and festivals, including Cannes, Berlin, the American Film Market and Toronto. Woodrow also lends her expertise to industry events, as a featured speaker for Film Independent, Women in Film, the Whistler Film Festival?s Go West Producers Lab, the American Pavilion in Cannes, and at universities in Los Angeles and New York. Woodrow has served on the Jury of the Big Bear Film Festival and is a voting member of BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts).

Previously, Woodrow was Vice President of The Steel Company, Inc., an international media-consulting firm. During her tenure, she represented international distributors, facilitating film acquisitions. Earlier in her career, Woodrow worked at The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and The Guggenheim Museum in New York. She graduated cum laude from Syracuse University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History.
